frequently asked questions

1. What is my pet’s size?
    All collars, leads, harnesses and clothing are sized in inches. Since dogs come in all different shapes and sizes, please measure your pet carefully. To ensure the best fit for your dog, please refer to brat’s sizing chart.
2. What is your return/exchange policy?
    Exchanges and returns for store credit are accepted on unused merchandise within 30 days from the day the items are shipped to you.

    exchange: mail the item(s) back to us along with the order slip. Fill out the return/exchange portion of the order slip and don't forget to indicate the reason for the exchange and the item you would like to exchange it for. Send it back to us, and we'll ship out the new item within 5-7 business days. Brat will re-ship all domestic exchange items free of charge on the first exchanged. Brat shipping rates will be charged on all subsequent exchanges. International exchanges are charged standard shipping rates.

    return for store credit: mail the item(s) back to us along with the order slip. Fill out the return/exchange portion of the order slip and don't forget to indicate the reason for the return and request credit. Send it back to us and we'll email you a credit confirmation for the total amount (sorry, we can not refund shipping and handling charges). Brat credit is good for up to 1 year from the date of receipt.

3. What are your shipping costs and delivery times?
    Orders are shipped USPS priority mail with confirmation. Orders ship within 5 business days and are usually received within 5-10 business days. Please refer to the shipping chart for rates:

5. Do you accept money orders and personal checks through mail order?
    Yes we do! Please download, print, and fill out brat's mail order form and include your check or money order to:

6. Do you charge sales tax?
    Sales tax will be added to all orders shipped to New York, New Jersey, and Conneticut.
7. Can I track my order?
    Sure! Just email us along with your order number and we'll send you the confirmation number for your order.
8. How do I purchase a gift certificate?
    Gift certificates can be purchased online. During the shopping process, please select gift certificate and fill out all the necessary fields. Once you have finished, select “buy it”. The certificate will automatically be added to your shopping cart. Gift certificates are emailed to the recipient and not mailed.
9. How do I redeem a gift certificate?
    Gift certificates are redeemed during the checkout process. Simply enter your gift certificate/coupon code/credit in the section named, “coupon code/gift certificate/credit”. The system will automatically reflect the adjustments.
10. Is it safe to use my credit card online?
    Yes absolutely! Protecting your information is our highest priority! All orders are transmitted over secure internet connections using SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology.
11. What is a special order inquiry?
    A special order inquiry is a free request for brat to check the availability of your item, and to determine approximately when a special order would arrive. Typically it takes 3-10 days for us to obtain this information; we then email you, at which point you can decide whether you would like to continue with the special order.
    • Your card will not be charged until your order is shipped.
    • You will be notified via email when your merchandise is received and when we ship your order.
